his eternity

the water sways
like a dress;
oh, we and the moon
are dancing.

the galaxy tugs,
like a child,
the breaths from her lungs.
her chest rising,
falling,
like the sun.

but who needs an ocean
and its endless waves,
the sun and its day,
while she still breathes?

leave her and the galaxy for me;
the rest is god’s.
let him have his eternity;
i have mine.
